Introduction
This type of business entity, Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), was introduced in India in the year 2008 by way of enacting Limited liability Partnership Act, 2008. This hybrid entity has the characteristics of both the partnership firm and Limited Company.

Six Simple Steps for LLP Registration in India
The Registering authority for Limited Liability Partnership is the Registrar of Companies. The procedure is explained in this article in simple six steps.
Step 1: Name Approval
The primary step for LLP Registration is to apply for name approval before the ROC Registration Authority by submitting the objects and the LLP Name. But before that the company name can be checked by ourself for availability using the ROC Portal and Trademark Registration Website. If the name is distinct enough, the registrar of Companies shall aloot the name. RUN-LLP would be a simple and easy to use Web Service for reserving a name for a new LLP
Step 2: Obtain Digital Signature
The next step towards registration of LLP is to obtain Digital signature for all the partners. Digital signature is used to sign all the online application form and government regulatory processes such as ROC Registration, GST returns, IE Code application and many more. This digital signature is compulsory for all the Partners in an LLP.
Step 3: Apply for DPIN
Once we obtain the Digital Signature, we can apply for the Designated Partner Identification Number (DPIN) by submitting the necessary documents before the Registrar of COmpanies. The Documents that are required for obtaining DIN Number are Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport size Photo and Residential Proof. After verifying the same, the Registrar of Companies shall allocate a unique number called DOPIN Number. The necessary form for obtaining Designated Partner Identification Number is DIR-3
Step 4: Incorporation Certificate
By submitting the Form for Incorporation of Limited Liability Partnership the Registrar of Companies shall issue the Incorporation certificate for the LLP.
Step 5: Submission of Limited Liability Partnership Agreement
This LLP Agreement governs the mutual relationship, rights, responsibilities and duties of the partners. The necessary form for submitting the LLP Agreement before the registrar of COmpanies is Form 3. The agreement needs to be submitted within 30 days from the date of Incorporation of the LLP.
Step 6: Obtain PAN Card
The final step in formation of an LLP is to apply for an online PAN Number in the name of the Company. Once you obtain the PAN Card, you can open a Current Account in the name of the LLP itself.
